HVACFolioHVACFolio is designed to keep service-report data on your device. We do not operate an account system, advertising network or analytics service in the app.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy explains how HVACFolio (“we,” “us” or the “App”) handles information when you use the iOS app, visit this website or contact support. If you use HVACFolio for a business, that business is responsible for deciding what customer and equipment information its technicians enter into the App.
2. Information handled by the App
Service-report information
You may enter customer names, company names, service addresses, contact details, equipment identifiers, inspection results, readings, notes, photographs and signatures. This information is stored locally in the App’s container on your device. We do not receive it on our servers.
Camera and photo library
With your permission, the App can take or select photographs for reports and scan equipment nameplates. Nameplate text recognition is performed on device. Selected images remain in the App’s local storage unless you export or share a report.
Speech recognition
With your permission, the App can transcribe dictated notes. HVACFolio requires on-device speech recognition for this feature. If on-device recognition is unavailable, dictation does not start.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple provides the App with transaction and entitlement status needed to unlock Pro features. We do not receive your full payment-card details. Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
3. Information you send to support
If you email w6828179@gmail.com, we receive the address you use, your message and any information or attachments you choose to include. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, prevent abuse and maintain a reasonable support record. Do not send customer reports or other personal information unless it is necessary and you are authorized to do so.
4. Tracking, advertising and analytics
HVACFolio does not contain third-party advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking or third-party product analytics. The website is delivered by Cloudflare, which may process limited network and security information such as IP address, request time and browser details to deliver and protect the site. 5. Sharing and exports
The App shares information only when you direct it to export a PDF or use the iOS share sheet. The destination you choose—such as Mail, Messages or a file provider—handles the exported report under its own terms and privacy practices.
6. Retention and deletion
Locally stored information remains until you delete the relevant content or uninstall the App. Exported copies are controlled by the destination where you saved or sent them. Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably needed for support, security and legal obligations. You may request deletion of support correspondence by emailing us from the same address.
7. Security
HVACFolio relies on iOS application isolation and device security controls. You are responsible for protecting your device, enabling an appropriate passcode and reviewing reports before sharing them. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
8. Children
The App is a professional field-work tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Canadian privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent subject to legal limits. Because report content is stored only on your device, we cannot access or recover it. For support information we hold, contact us using the email below.
10. International processing
Cloudflare and email-service providers may process website or support information outside your province or outside Canada, where it may be subject to local law.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the App changes. We will publish the revised date on this page. Material changes will be communicated in a reasonable manner.
